The month of design and architecture arrives in the city with unmissable activities
During the month of October, and for the second consecutive year, the city will become talent scenario. Through an outstanding agenda of activities, the platform has as its main objective to consolidate the positioning of the city as a regional reference in the field.
Promoted by the Directorate of Creative, Audiovisual Industries and Software of the Ministry of Economic Development, this month is presented as a tool for promotion and economic activation, in tune with what the great design capitals do in the world. With the conviction that the design has a strong economic and transformative potential, it seeks to consolidate Buenos Aires as an undisputed pole in Latin America. Design, due to its transverse character, is linked to all industries and enables new spaces for creation, collaboration and innovation. In a context of change, this proposal invites us to rethink our ways of living, producing and linking, looking forward with creativity, opening and a vision of the future. The activities will begin on Wednesday, October 1 with a launch that will bring together the main public and private initiatives of the sector. Month the design circuits start, which will take place every Friday and Saturday in October. For the second consecutive year, Marcela Fibbiani, communicator and reference for local design, will guide circuits in various neighborhoods of the city to visit shops and designers ateliers. Neighbors and tourists will be able to know furniture, lighting, textiles for decoration and accessories, and much more. The activity is open to the public with previous registration. The city government will have its own stand in which you can see the talent of Buenos Aires entrepreneurs. Tuesday, October 21, the first edition of the Buenos Aires Design (BAD) Awards will be delivered, an initiative of the City of Buenos Aires to highlight the local talent in the design. It is a free participation contest aimed at design and architecture professionals. The agenda of that week continues on Wednesday, October 16 with the night of design. The renowned event will be developed in which the members of the Arenales district open the doors of their premises in the Arenales and Juncal streets and their transversal in an open sky activity that celebrates the 10 years of the district.
