The exhibition proposes a journey through the collective memory of the city through images that reflect the evolution of an activity that was the driving force of the economic and social growth of the region. Among the photographs that make up the exhibition, records from the time of the jangadas stand out, when the logs were transported by water courses; images of the sawmills and storage areas, where wood processing took place in the old city; and scenes that portray the daily work of logging workers in the different stages of the activity. The initiative seeks to value the historical heritage of the Federation and recognize the efforts of those who made the wood industry one of the pillars of local development.
